Description

Feed your young dog optimally with Happy Dog Sensible Junior Lamb & Rice, a complete food developed especially for the young dog stage from seven months, combining protein-rich lamb with highly digestible rice in a gluten-free, poultry-free and potato-free recipe that adapts the energy and protein content to your dog's slowing growth, helping avoid nutrition-related growth disorders while offering a balanced, well-tolerated diet perfectly matched to their needs. As your puppy becomes a young dog, this is the food built for the next phase.

From around seven months, your dog's rate of growth slows, so their diet needs to change too. This recipe delivers exactly the right level of energy and protein for that developmental stage. Protein-rich lamb is supplemented with highly digestible rice, valuable New Zealand mussel for the joints, and herbs that support the stomach, gut, cardiovascular system and respiratory tract. Its easily tolerated ingredients make it suitable even for sensitive young dogs, while the holistic Happy Dog approach ensures your pet gets everything they need for healthy, age-appropriate growth.

And then there is our signature heart-shaped kibble with a hole in the middle. That little hole helps the kibble break up faster while eating and makes it easier to chew, while the larger surface area lets the digestive juices envelop the food better in the stomach, supporting good, easy digestion as your young dog grows.

Key features:

  • Complete food specially developed for young dogs from 7 months
  • Protein-rich lamb with highly digestible rice
  • Gluten-free, poultry-free and potato-free recipe, suitable for sensitive dogs
  • New Zealand mussel to support the joints
  • Herbs that support the stomach, gut, cardiovascular system and respiratory tract
  • Heart-shaped kibble with a central hole for easier chewing and digestion

Recommended daily amount by age and expected adult weight.

As your dog nears its adult weight, its energy needs drop, so adjust the amount using the table. Weigh your dog regularly, avoid overfeeding, and reduce the amount if you give snacks. Feed dry or soaked in warm water, split into 2 to 3 meals, and keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
