K9 search dogs
tracking down missing people and animals
The search dog center, run by Alexandra Grunow and Rovena Lankau, trains dogs that can track people down using their scent. In addition to training the K-9 trail trainers, they have been helping the police and the State Criminal Police Office throughout Germany for years on a voluntary basis in the areas of rescue and forensics in real-life operations to track down missing people or pets.
"Our dogs track down lost people before they are lost forever," is how Alexandra Grunow describes her work.
Happy Dog supports the search dog center with food and material donations, joint campaigns and events.
Veterinarians Without Borders
The work of Veterinarians Without Borders benefits the health of animals, people and the environment in its six project countries in East Africa. The people there are characterized by a rich history and often extensive knowledge that has been passed down through generations. The association wants to preserve this valuable heritage and expand it through veterinary and human medical knowledge. The knowledge, experiences and life strategies of the people in the projects are the heart of the association's work - it supports them in leading a healthy and self-determined life in harmony with their animals in a healthy environment.
Happy Dog has been supporting Veterinarians Without Borders' vaccination campaign in Africa since 2020, thereby positioning itself in the fight against rabies. Become a supporting member now and you too can support Veterinarians Without Borders' efforts to eliminate human cases of rabies.

Education for Africa
Since the extension of the primary school in Rutana/Burundi was completed with the support of Happy Dog, we are now able to support the next project: "Education for a better future in Africa". Due to poverty and violence, around 124 million children and young people in Africa are denied school education.
Together with SOS Children's Villages, we want to counteract this. In cooperation with educational authorities, schools and community organizations, the children should be given free access to a high-quality education. Because only with a good school education can they have a path to working life. By purchasing Happy Dog Sensible Africa and Mini Africa, you are helping to finance numerous items:
- Ongoing costs for school and vocational training
- procurement of school materials
- payment of educational staff
- and much more

Augsburg Zoo
For species-appropriate animal husbandry
Many measures are necessary to ensure that zoo animals are kept in the most species-appropriate way possible: optimally designed enclosures, individual activities for each animal species and species-appropriate feeding of the animals are just a few examples that modern zoos take into account today. In order to be able to finance such measures, the zoo needs financial resources from sponsors such as Happy Dog.In addition, our sponsorship contribution enables kindergarten groups and school classes in particular to learn about the animal world not only in theory, but also in practice.
